For Writers

Are you confident that your grammar is correct? Do you ever make typos? Do you wonder whether you're getting your message across effectively? Whether you're in the early stages of a manuscript and need someone to help you work through the key concepts and structure, or have an assignment ready to turn in to an editor and you've spent so much time staring at the same words that you can't think straight, I can help.

Drawing upon my experience as a copy editor, proofreader, and developmental editor, I will work with you to:

  • organize and clarify your thoughts
  • clean up your text (including spelling, grammar, and punctuation)
  • put the finishing touches on your writing
Whether you are writing proposals and query letters, online content and blog posts, brief magazine articles, or a full-length book, a professional edit will ensure that you're putting your best face forward to editors and readers.

For Publishers and Others

With five years of in-house publishing experience, I understand what staff editors need and expect from freelancers. I will work independently according to your instructions and house style preferences and will always meet your deadline and budget.

Whether your project needs a major organizational overhaul, management throughout the production process, or just a light proof before it goes to the printer or is posted online, I will turn it around quickly and skillfully.

You're the best editor I have ever worked with. Not only do you make my writing come alive, you also enrich my writing experience by helping me tease out key concepts I am trying to convey. My book is no doubt 100 times better due to your influence.
—Deirdre McEachern, writer

Your editing services are invaluable to me. Knowing that you'll be looking at my work allows me to write more freely and worry about perfection later.
